Zsófia Konkoly paralympic champion swimmer of PSN Zrt. Pécs Sports School, a student of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Pécs won the gold medal at the World Para Swimming Championships in women's 200 metre individual medley in the SM9 category and defended her world champion title in Manchester on 1 August.
The World Championships in Manchester will last until Sunday with seven Hungarians, including Zsófia Konkoly and Bence Iván, who is a student of the Faculty of Sciences, University of Pécs from Pécs. Gold and silver medalists in the event will earn country quotas for the Paris Paralympics to be held in August 28 to September 8, 2024. Hungary already has achieved six quota places, two each in swimming and shooting, and one each for athletics and cycling.
